Blood: The Last Vampire

Based on the hit anime film of the same name, BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE from the producer of Hero and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the director of the Jet Li classic Kiss of the Dragon is an edgy, modern day, English language thriller. Starring the beautiful South Korean starlet Gianna Jun (Daisy), Allison Miller (17 Again) and Koyuki Katou (The Last Samurai) it is released in cinemas across the UK on 26 June, 2009.

On the surface, Saya is a stunning 17-year-old, but that youthful exterior hides the tormented soul of a 400-year-old “halfling.” Born to a human father and a vampire mother, she has for centuries been a loner obsessed with using her samurai skills to rid the world of vampires, all the while knowing that she herself can survive only on blood, like those she hunts.

BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE, adapted for the big screen by director Chris Nahon (Kiss the Dragon), is produced by Oscar-nominated and BAFTA winning producer, William Kong (Hero, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers).
