FIRE IN BABYLON
The UK Premiere of Revolver Entertainment's new sensational cricketing movie FIRE IN BABYLON on May 9th saw the Odeon Leicester Square transformed into a Caribbean dream with a red, yellow and green carpet and the sound of steel drums and thumping reggae beats filling the sunny Leicester Square. The carpet was awash with Cricketing legends and movie stars alike – Michael Holding, Joel Garner, Gordon Greenidge and Colin Croft were joined by executive producers Ben Golding, Ben Elliot and international movie stars Hugh Grant and Sadie Frost. The stars all made their way into the Odeon Leicester Sq for the screening of the hotly anticipated FIRE IN BABYLON which brings all the passion and drama of the West Indies' cricketing golden years to the big screen.
Directed by Stevan Riley (Blue Blood), produced by Charles Steel (the BAFTA-winning The Last King of Scotland), and John Battsek (the Oscar-winning "One Day In September"), with Ben Goldsmith and Ben Elliot as executive producers, FIRE IN BABYLON boasts dynamic archive and classic music by the likes of Bob Marley and the Wailers, Gregory Issacs and Burning Spear. Premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in October, it is released in the United Kingdom by Revolver Entertainment.
FIRE IN BABYLON is released by Revolver Entertainment and will open nationwide on May 20th, 2011
